West Ham United are thought to be keen on signing the Austrian defender Flavius Daniliuc.
The 20-year-old had an impressive season with Nice this past year and his performances have caught the attention of the Premier League clubs.
According to Daily Mail, Southampton are keen on signing the Austrian as well.
The former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich youth player is highly talented and he has a big future ahead of him. The German giants wanted to keep him at the club but the player decided to move on in search of first-team football.
Daniliuc’s decision has paid off and he made 26 appearances for the French side last season.
The 20-year-old defender has the potential to develop into a top-class player in the future and he could be a quality long term investment for the hammers.
West Ham need to add more quality and depth to their defence and Daniliuc could be a useful option for David Moyes next season.
He could challenge the likes of Issa Diop for the starting berth and eventually establish himself as a key starter for the London club.
The Hammers will need to bring in upgrades on the likes of Craig Dawson this summer and they have been linked with the likes of Nikola Milenkovic and Kurt Zouma as well.
Meanwhile, the 20 year old Austrian has three years left on his current contract with the French outfit but Nice are prepared to sell him this summer. Whether Southampton or West Ham can agree on a deal with the French outfit, remains to be seen.
