Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Lazio forward Joaquin Correa this summer and they are now prepared to submit an offer of around €25 million-plus bonuses for the Argentine international.

According to Il Messaggero, the Premier League side have held positive talks with the player’s agent regarding a summer move and they are currently leading the chase for the 26-year-old.

The report further states that Leicester City are very interested in signing the player as well and they are expected to submit a serious offer for the 26-year-old in the coming weeks. The Foxes could use someone like him alongside Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes next season.

The likes of Cengiz Under and Ayoze Perez failed to live up to the expectations last season and a wide forward like Correa would be ideal for Leicester next season.

Everton could definitely use more attacking reinforcements and the 26-year-old Lazio forward would be a quality addition for them.

Correa is at the peak of his powers right now and he could make an immediate impact at Goodison Park next season.

The Argentine international can operate as a wide forward as well as a second striker and his versatility will be an added bonus for Rafael Benitez.

The 26-year-old managed to score 11 goals and pick up six assists across all competitions for the Italian club last season and he could complete Everton’s attacking trio alongside Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

It remains to be seen whether the Toffees can now fend off the competition from their Premier League rivals Leicester City and secure the attacker’s services in the coming weeks.
