Celtic are all set to complete the signing of Joe Hart from Tottenham Hotspur later today.

According to Daily Mail, the Scottish outfit have agreed on a £1 million deal with the Premier League side for the transfer of the 34-year-old goalkeeper and the former England international is set to undergo a medical with Celtic today.

Hart is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Scottish outfit. It will be interesting to see if the goalkeeper is handed his debut against Jablonec on Thursday.

The 34-year-old had fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham after the arrival of Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta and he needed to leave the London club in order to play regular first-team football.

The 75 cap England international has won two Premier League titles and his winning experience and leadership could prove to be invaluable for the Celtic dressing room.

The likes of Vasilis Barkas and Scott Bain have been quite underwhelming for Celtic this past season and Ange Postecoglou needed to bring in an upgrade.

Hart has the experience to make a big difference for Celtic the season and it remains to be seen whether the 34-year-old can adapt to Scottish football quickly and hold down a regular starting berth at Parkhead.

The reported fee could look like a massive bargain if the former England international can regain his sharpness and confidence with regular football at Celtic.
