Walfoot claim that the Bhoys have already agreed a deal to sign the right-back. The player has also accepted personal terms.
As it stands, he will undergo his medical, and the signing is expected to be completed within a day or two.
The 24-year-old progressed through the youth ranks at Benfica. He made 108 appearances in the three seasons at Royal Antwerp and has impressed heavily. It seems his future lies in Glasgow.

Celtic desperately need to sign a right-back this summer.
The club have been left with Anthony Ralson on the right side of the defence, and they don’t have sufficient cover.
Jeremie Frimpong has left the club for Bayer Leverkusen, while Jonjoe Kenny has returned to Everton after an unimpressive loan spell.
Hatem Abd Elhamed has returned to Israel as well, and the Hoops badly need more bodies in that area. Buta will be a smart addition for the club.
This has been a busy summer transfer window for Celtic, with the club having undergone a rebuilding under Ange Postecoglou.
As many as five signings have arrived so far, and Buta could be the sixth arrival.
Celtic, however, need to make a strong decision about Odsonne Edouard whose future still hangs in balance. The club must offload him if they get a good offer and reinvest in the side.
