Everton and Crystal Palace are interested in signing the Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba this summer.
The 27-year-old has been a quality player for the West Midlands club since joining them.
According to Daily Mail, Villa are reluctant to lose the player this summer but the Toffees are prepared to test their resolve by submitting a bid before the transfer window shuts.
The Zimbabwe midfielder produced impressive performances against top teams like Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea last season and it is no surprise that other Premier League clubs are keen on signing him.
The defensive midfielder is at the peak of his powers right now and he could make an instant impact at Goodison Park if Rafa Benitez manages to lure him away from Villa Park.
The Toffees will need to add more depth to the defensive midfield position especially because of how injury-prone Jean-Philippe Gbamin has been. He has played just three Premier League games since joining the Merseyside outfit in 2019.
The West Midlands club paid a fee of around £11 million for the midfielder back in 2019 and they will be looking to make a significant profit on him if they are forced to cash in on him this summer.
The Villa fans will certainly want nakamba to stay at the club beyond this summer. The 27-year-old is a fan favourite at Villa Park.
