Report confirms West Ham’s second offer for highly talented young winger – originally posted on Sportslens.com

West Ham were linked with a move for the Rangers winger Kai Kennedy earlier this month.

We covered reports that the Hammers had a bid turned down for the 19-year-old and Football Insider are now reporting that the Londoners have returned with an improved offer for the player.

However, the Ibrox giants are not keen on selling the talented youngster and they have turned down the improved offer from the Premier League side.

The 19-year-old is highly rated at the club and Rangers have recalled him to first-team training this summer.

The player was out on loan last season and he will be hoping to play regular first-team football in the upcoming season.

Rangers could definitely use some depth in the wide areas and Kennedy could be a useful option for Steven Gerrard next year.

However, the player cannot afford to sit on the bench every week and Rangers will have to make a decision regarding his future soon.

If they cannot offer him the first team platform he needs right now, another loan away from the Scottish club could be ideal for the player.

That said, the decision to bring the player back into the first-team fold following the offers from West Ham is probably a positive sign.

The player signed a new deal with the Scottish champions back in January and he has a contract at Ibrox until the summer of 2023.

It seems that his future lies at the Scottish club for now and it remains to be seen whether he can fulfill his potential with Rangers.
