Report confirms West Ham offer for highly rated 19-year-old winger – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Rangers attacker Kai Kennedy is thought to be a target for West Ham United.
According to Football Insider, the Premier League side submitted a bid for the 19-year-old but the Scottish champions have turned it down.
Apparently, the offer was in the region of around £600,000.
Apparently, the Scottish outfit are looking to keep the 19-year-old attacker at the club next season.
Kennedy has impressed during his loan spell this past season and he recently signed a new contract with the Ibrox giants that runs until the summer of 2023.
Rangers are under no pressure to cash in on him just yet and it is no surprise that they have knocked back the offer from the Londoners.
Steven Gerrard could use more depth in his attack and the young winger could prove to be a useful option for Rangers next year.
Furthermore, Kennedy is highly talented and he would be worth a lot more than £600,000 in a few years if he continues to develop.
Meanwhile, the player has revealed that it is extremely flattering to have the Premier League side come forward with an offer for him and he also revealed that it would be a great opportunity for him to work with a top manager like David Moyes.
He said to Football Insider: “It is extremely flattering that West Ham have made an offer for me and it would be a great opportunity to be able to work with a top manager such as David Moyes, but I am a Rangers player until I am told otherwise.”
