Everton are reportedly keen on signing the former Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

Apparently, the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool are keen on the Brazilian as well but the Reds are thought to be the most determined suitor according to Francesc Aguilar.

The 29-year-old is unwanted at Barcelona and the Spanish outfit are looking to cash in on him in order to reduce their wage bill.

Coutinho has been a major flop at the Catalan club since his big-money move from Liverpool and he needs to leave the Spanish giants in order to resurrect his career.

The Brazilian needs a fresh start and a move back to England could be ideal for him.

Coutinho played his best football in the Premier League and he could be a useful option for the likes of Wolves and Everton.

The Toffees could definitely use some extra creativity in the midfield and the Brazilian international can operate in multiple roles. The 29-year-old could slot in as the number ten as well as a wide player. He will add goals, assists and flair to their attack.

It seems unlikely that Liverpool will move for their former midfielder given the way he left the club. Also, the Brazilian will find it difficult to get into the starting lineup at Anfield and he needs to join a club where he can play regular first-team football.

A move to Wolves or Everton would suit him better this summer.
