West Ham United are interested in signing the Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo this summer.

According to Het Belang van Limburg, Fulham are keen on signing the 22-year-old as well.

The player was on loan at Cercle Brugge last season and he managed to score 17 goals across all competitions.

The player is currently in the final year of his contract and the Blues will have to cash in on him this summer unless they want to lose him on a free transfer next year.

West Ham’s interest in the highly talented forward certainly makes sense and David Moyes will have to add more depth to his attacking position.

The Hammers have been reliant on Michail Antonio for goals this past season but they will have to bring in a more natural goal scorer and Ugbo could prove to be a quality long-term investment for them.

The youngster has the potential to develop into a quality Premier League player with coaching and experience.

Apparently, the player would cost around €3-5 million and the transfer could represent an excellent bargain for the Hammers.

Ugbo will be hoping to join a club where he can play regular first-team football and the likes of Genk, Frankfurt, Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven are reportedly in the chase as well.

Whether the Hammers are keen on paying the asking price remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that Ugbo would be a low-risk signing for the fee quoted.
