Celtic have agreed on a deal to sign the Israel winger Liel Abada this summer.

According to Daily Record, the Scottish giants will pay a fee of around £3.4 million.

The report adds that Abada could be signed before Thursday’s Champions League qualifying deadline. The transfer could be finalised in the next 24 hours.

The 19-year-old winger has been an outstanding player for Maccabi Petah Tikva and he could prove to be a quality long-term investment for Celtic.

The youngster can operate as a right-sided winger as well as the centre forward. His versatility could be quite useful for Ange Postecoglou next season.

The 19-year-old scored 13 goals and picked up four assists across all competitions last season.

Celtic were in desperate need of attacking reinforcements and the signing of Abada will certainly add more depth and quality in the final third.

The Israeli winger has tremendous potential and he could improve a lot in the coming seasons with experience and coaching.

The reported £3.4 million fee could look like a major bargain in the long run.

A move to Celtic would be a massive step up for the player as well and it will be interesting to see if he can adapt to the Scottish premiership and make an immediate impact next season.
