Everton keeping tabs on 26-yr-old, but face competition from Tottenham – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.
According to Calciomercato, the two Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old and there have been inquiries from the likes of Inter Milan, Roma, AC Milan and Lazio as well.
Everton are in desperate need of a goal-keeping upgrade and Gollini would be a quality addition for them.
England international Jordan Pickford has been quite error-prone for the Toffees and they will have to bring in an upgrade if they want to challenge for European qualification next season.
As far as Tottenham are concerned, Hugo Lloris is nearing the end of his deal and the Londoners will have to start planning for a future without him.
Gollini has done well for the Italian outfit this past season and he has the potential to develop into a top-class shot-stopper.
He has already shown his qualities in the Italian league and the chance to move to the Premier League might be tempting for him. The player might be open to an exciting new challenge next year.
The 26-year-old is yet to reach his peak and he could improve further with experience and coaching.
Atalanta are under no pressure to sell the player this summer and the two Premier League clubs might have to come forward with a lucrative offer to sign the 26-year-old.
