Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson is likely to leave the club, either on loan or permanently, this summer.

According to reports from The Sun, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder is attracting interest from Swansea City.

The Swans boss, Steve Cooper, wants to sign the Wales international on loan who is not in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans.

The report claims that Wilson, who scored seven goals and contributed 12 assists in 37 matches in the Championship for Cardiff City last season, looks set for another season away from Anfield.

Wilson has spent ten years at Liverpool, but he has managed only two senior caps for the Reds. In between, he has spent loan spells at Crewe, Hull, Derby, Bournemouth and Cardiff.

He is at that phase of his career when he needs to settle down at a club. However, Liverpool are hesitant to let him go permanently, and another loan move is on the cards.

Cooper previously worked with Wilson at the Liverpool academy. He wanted to sign him on loan last summer but Swansea lost out to Cardiff.

According to recent reports from The Atheltic, Premier League new boys Brentford and Championship side West Bromwich Albion have also registered their interest in Wilson.

This summer, Portuguese club Benfica have made an official offer for the Welshman already. It has been claimed that discussions between the two clubs have stalled due to the difference in valuation. but Liverpool expect to re-enter into negotiation with them at some point.
