Liverpool are very interested in signing the Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches this summer.
As per L’Equipe, the 23-year-old midfielder has had an exceptional European Championships with his country and his performances have attracted the attention of Arsenal as well.
The Reds need to bring in a quality replacement for Gini Wijnaldum after the Dutchman joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer and Sanches seems like a quality long-term addition.
The 30-cap Portuguese international midfielder was highly rated across Europe a few years ago but his development stalled after a move to Bayern Munich.
It seems that the midfielder has managed to regain his form and confidence once again.
Sanches was an impressive player for Lille as the French outfit wrapped up the Ligue 1 title last season.
Apparently, the French outfit could look to sell some players this summer and the midfielder could join Liverpool or Arsenal.
Both clubs would be excellent for his development and a top-class manager like Jurgen Klopp could help him achieve his potential.
Furthermore, the Reds will be able to offer him Champions League football and that could tip the scales in their favour.
Liverpool need a midfielder who will add drive, flair and creativity at the middle of the park. They have an excellent controller in Thiago and a quality defensive midfielder in Fabinho.
Sanches seems like an ideal fit alongside them and his arrival could complete Klopp’s midfield next season.
