West Ham United are interested in signing the Czech Republic midfielder Antonin Barak.

The Hellas Verona midfielder has done well in the European Championships with his country so far and his performances have attracted the attention of the Hammers.

According to Corriere di Verona, the Italian outfit are not keen on selling Barak this summer. However, they under financial pressure and they will have to sell some of their players in order to bring in reinforcements.

It is believed that Hellas Verona will consider selling the midfielder for the right price this summer.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder picked up seven goals and four assists in all competitions last year and he can play in multiple roles across the midfield.

The Czech international generally operates as an attacking midfielder but he can play in the wide areas as well.

West Ham could certainly use more creativity in their midfield next season and Barak seems like a good fit.

The Hammers currently use Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice as the central midfielders and the signing of Barak will add some much-needed creativity and balance to David Moyes’ midfield unit.

The Italian outfit believe that the midfielder could cost around 20 million this summer and the final asking price could depend on his exploits in the European Championships.
