Manchester United are showing their ambitions in the summer transfer window after the club confirmed yesterday that a deal has been agreed for Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils are paying a premium fee of £73m to land the highly-rated England winger.

Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani scored 11 and 10 goals in the Premier League last season respectively. Mason Greenwood managed 12 while Anthony Martial scored seven across all competitions.

Bruno Fernandes, United’s top scorer, scored 28 goals in all competitions from midfield. Sancho is expected to add more goals, and adding Calvert-Lewin to the side will make United a genuine contender for the Premier League title next season.

Calvert-Lewin impressed heavily last season, scoring 21 goals in all competitions. He has been a player re-born under the Italian boss, and Everton will be reluctant to lose their prized asset.

He has a contract at Goodison Park till 2025, and Everton surely will demand a high transfer fee for him, in case he decides to move on. Moreover, new manager Rafael Benitez would love to keep Calvert-Lewin and make him the focal point of his attack.
