Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the French international Adrien Rabiot this summer.
According to Daily Star, a club scout was in attendance of France’s round of 16 clash against Switzerland on Monday night to run the rule over the Juventus midfielder.
The 26-year-old signed for the Italian club back in 2019 but his time with the Turin giants has not been a massive success.
It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils are willing to submit an offer to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United could certainly use more depth in the central midfield and Rabiot could be a decent addition for them.
The French international can operate as a central midfielder as well as in a defensive role.
The current Manchester United midfield is lacking in balance and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must look to bring in someone who can add defensive qualities to his midfield alongside the likes of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.
Rabiot seems like a good fit for United in theory and he could form a quality midfield partnership with his compatriot Pogba at Old Trafford if he can remain consistent.
The midfielder has a contract with Juventus until the summer of 2023 and it remains to be seen whether the Italian outfit are prepared to cash in on him just yet.
