Juventus defender Merih Demiral could be on his way out of the Italian club this summer.

According to Tuttosport (via Sportwitness), the Italian outfit are willing to cash in on the 23-year-old centre back in order to raise funds for their own signings.

Demiral has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at the Italian club and he has had a disappointing Euro 2020 with Turkey.

However, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are thought to be keen on the defender this summer.

SL View: Could be a solid addition for both Premier League clubs

Both Premier League clubs could use defensive reinforcements and the 23-year-old Juventus defender has the potential to develop into a quality player for them.

Demiral needs regular game time to regain his confidence and sharpness. He’s unlikely to get that opportunity at the Italian club and the move away from Juventus would be ideal for his development.

Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez has been linked with a move away from the London club and Demiral could be his replacement next season.

Meanwhile, Everton need to find a quality long term defensive partner for Ben Godfrey and the 23-year-old Turkish international certainly fits the profile.

The report from Tuttosport does not mention Juventus’s asking price but it would be fair to assume that the player is likely to be available for a reasonable fee given his situation at the Italian club.

He’s clearly not a key player for the Italian giants and his suitors are unlikely to cough up a premium for him.
