Arsenal are hoping to complete a deal to sign the Belgian midfielder Sambi Lokonga from and Anderlecht.
According to Belgian journalist Sven Claes, the Premier League side have made an offer of around €17 million for the 21-year-old central midfielder and negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs.
Apparently, the Londoners have already agreed on personal terms with the player.

SL View: Alternative to Granit Xhaka?
Lokonga has been a key player for Anderlecht this past season and he has contributed to three goals and three assists from the midfield. The 21-year-old could prove to be a quality central midfield option for the Gunners next year.
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has been linked with an exit this summer and the Swiss international is expected to join Roma. Lokonga could be his long term replacement at the club although the Belgian plays in a more advanced role.
The 21-year-old has immense potential and he could develop into a top-class player for the Gunners in future.
The reported bid of €17 million (£14.6m) could look like a bargain in a few seasons if the midfielder manages to fulfil his potential at the London club.
Lokonga is likely to be tempted to move to the Premier League this summer. It would be a major step up in his career. Also, the fact that personal terms have been agreed on suggests that the player is keen on the transfer.
Although the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee, it would be fair to assume that a compromise will be reached eventually.
