Leeds United have been linked with a move for Nahitan Nandez for weeks now and it appears that Marcelo Bielsa is determined to sign the Argentine midfielder.

The 25-year-old has a release clause of around €36 million and Bielsa is prepared to spend big on the player as per reports (via Sportwitness)

Leeds could certainly use more depth in the central midfield department and Nandez can operate in a more defensive role as well.

The hard-working midfielder is an excellent presser and his defensive abilities would make him an ideal fit for Bielsa’ system.

The 25-year-old has been a key player for Cagliari this past season and he could be tempted to move to the Premier League if Leeds come calling with a concrete offer.

A move to Elland Road would be a step up in his career and a manager like Marcelo Bielsa could take his game to a whole new level.

The Leeds boss is well respected throughout the game and Nandez could be tempted to work with him next season.

The Whites had an impressive season in the Premier League last year and they will need to add more quality and depth in order to progress as a side next season.

Bringing in a quality midfielder to support Kalvin Phillips should be a priority for the Premier League side and the signing of Nandez would make perfect sense.
