West Ham United and Aston Villa have made an enquiry for the Young Boys defender Mohamed Ali Camara.

According to Sportwitness, the 23 year old’s performances in Switzerland have attracted the attention of the Premier League clubs.

Camara has been a key player for Young Boys this past season and he has a contract with them until the summer of 2024.

Apparently, the Swiss outfit could be willing to sanction his departure for the right price despite his importance to the side.

SL View: Ideal defensive depth for both teams

West Ham could definitely use some depth in the centre back department and Camara would be a quality option for David Moyes alongside Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson.

Meanwhile, Villa could use a quality alternative for the likes of Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings as well and the 23 year old defender could prove to be a smart addition.

It remains to be seen whether the two Premier League clubs decide to submit an offer for the defender in the coming weeks.

The chance to move to the Premier League will probably be a tempting proposition for the 23 year old and it would be the ideal next step in his career as well.

He has already proven himself in the Swiss league and playing in the Premier League alongside better players will only help him improve as a player.
