Aston Villa are thought to be interested in signing Valentino Livramento from Chelsea this summer.

According to Goal.com, the young defender has been contacted by AC Milan as well.

The Blues have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi and the arrival of the Moroccan will push the young full-back further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Livramento needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and Chelsea will not be able to provide him with the opportunities.

Furthermore, the 18-year-old has a contract with the Premier League club until the summer of 2022 and the Blues will be under pressure to cash in on him this summer instead of losing him on a free transfer next year.

It will be interesting to see if Villa can agree on a deal with the Premier League side for the young full-back in the coming weeks.

The West Midlands club could definitely use some depth in the right-back position and Livramento could be a backup for Matty Cash next year. He can operate as a right-sided winger as well.

The youngster likely to get more playing time at Villa Park and that could only help in his development. Young defenders like Ezri Konsa have done well under Dean Smith and Livramento could improve under his management as well.
