Report: Leeds ‘keeping tabs’ on in-demand 26 y/o Celtic player – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Celtic defender Jack Hendry is likely to leave the club this summer.
The Bhoys are set for a massive rebuilding process, with the club ready to offload a bunch of fringe players to make room for new additions.
According to reports from the Daily Record, Belgian side Oostende have activated the option to sign Hendy on a permanent deal for £1.75m.
Hendry, who failed to show enough merit at Parkhead, joined Oostende on loan last season where he made a strong impact.
The Scotland international defender is currently starring for the national team ahead of Euro 2020, but he finds himself in a curious situation.
Oostende having decided to sign him permanently could now earn a quick profit on the Celtic defender with a host of clubs interested.
Several Premier League clubs are keen to secure the services of the 26-year-old this summer, including the likes of Leeds, Burnley and Newcastle United.
The former Dundee player revived his career last season in Belgium where he received glowing reviews for his displays.

Leeds United: It is highly unlikely that Leeds will sign a new defender this summer. Marcelo Bielsa already has the likes of Diego Llorente, Liam Cooper and Robin Koch as three established centre-backs, while Pascal Strijk impressed heavily at the back last season.
Newcastle United: The Magpies have been linked with a move for Kris Ajer this month, but Daily Mail has now reported that a deal is unlikely. Steve Bruce is looking to sign a defender, Ajer’s teammate won’t be a bad option.
Celtic could also offload Ajer who has only 12 months remaining on his current deal.
