Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic has been linked with a move away from the Italian club this summer.
According to reports from La Nazione (via Fiorentina.it), West Ham United are very interested in the Serbian defender and Premier League side Manchester United are keen on the player as well.
Apparently, Juventus are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old as well.
SL View: Ideal partner at the back for Maguire or Diop?
The 23-year-old has been a quality player for Fiorentina over the past season and he has the potential to develop into a reliable central defender for the two Premier League clubs.
Both Manchester United and West Ham need to improve their defensive options in the summer and the Serbian seems like an ideal fit.
The Red Devils will have to find a quality long term partner for Harry Maguire and West Ham will have to find an upgrade on the likes of Craig Dawson.
It will be interesting to see if the Hammers can fend off the competition from Manchester United and secure the Serbian international’s services in the coming weeks.
The defender has a contract with the Italian club until the summer of 2022 and they will be under pressure to sell him this summer if he refuses to sign an extension with them. Fiorentina cannot afford to lose him on a free next year.
Milenkovic could be available for a reasonable price because of his contract situation and it remains to be seen where he ends up eventually.
