Everton eyeing a bargain move for attacker with 14 goal contributions last season – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Everton continue to be linked with the Valencia forward Goncalo Guedes.
According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, the Portuguese international is up for grabs this summer for a bargain price of €15 million.
Apparently, Valencia are under financial stress right now and they need to raise funds through sales.
The report further states that Italian club Fiorentina are keen on signing the Portuguese international as well and it will be interesting to see if Everton can fend off the competition and secure the 24-year-old’s services this summer.
The Toffees could definitely use more depth in the attack and signing a versatile forward like Guedes seems like a wise decision.
The Valencia attacker can play on either flank and he is capable of leading the line as well. He has 7 goals and 7 assists to his name this past season and he could form a quality attacking partnership alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison next season.
The reported asking price seems like a bargain for a player of his potential and the 24-year-old could develop into a quality Premier League forward with experience and coaching.
That Toffees will probably have to sort out their managerial situation before making a signing and it could give Fiorentina an edge in the transfer chase.
Former Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has been unveiled as the new Real Madrid manager and the Toffees are yet to appoint a replacement.
