West Ham keen on experienced attacker with 23 goal contributions this past season – originally posted on Sportslens.com
West Ham United are thought to be keen on signing Adrian Embarba from Espanyol this summer.
The 29-year-old winger has had an impressive campaign with the Spanish outfit and he has scored 9 goals and picked up 14 assists this past season.
Embarba is a naturally right-sided winger but he can operate on the left flank as well and he will add goals and assists to the West Ham attack.
The Hammers have quality wide players like Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma at their disposal but they could certainly use more depth in the position.
David Moyes’ side are set to play in the Europa League next year and they will need a deeper squad to compete across multiple competitions.
It will be interesting to see if they can agree on a deal with Espanyol for Embarba.
The 29-year-old has a contract with the Spanish club until the summer of 2024 and Espanyol could demand a premium for the player
The report from Sport adds that the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City and Watford are keen on the player as well.
SL View: West Ham could be a tempting move for Embarba
The chance to move to a Premier League club will be tempting for the 29-year-old given the fact that he plays in the second division of Spanish football.
It would be a step up in his career and he will be able to play European football with the Hammers as well.
The winger is at the peak of his career right now and his experience could help him adapt to English football quickly. He could prove to be a quality short-term addition for the Londoners.
