Bayern Munich are set to offload several players including Bouna Sarr, Mickaël Cuisance, Adrian Fein, and Joshua Zirkzee this summer, according to SportBild as reported by reliable journalist Ronan Murphy.

Bayern are set to undergo a fresh start from next season as Julian Nagelsmann succeeds Hansi Flick as manager (who will take over as Germany manager after the Euros) and goalkeeping legend Oliver Kahn succeeds the outgoing Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as chairman.

Sarr, who joined the Bavarian giants from Marseille nearly a year ago, struggled to establish himself within the Bayern first-team last season as he went on to make just eight Bundesliga appearances.

21-year-old Cuisance spent last season on loan with Marseille and while he did play 27 times in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club, it appears that he failed to do enough to convince the Bayern hierarchy that he is worth keeping in the first-team squad.

Former Germany U-21 international Fein spent last season on loan with Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven. Ultimately, he failed to make an impression in Holland as he played just ten league games last season, scoring one goal.

After struggling for first-team action with Bayern in the first half of the past season, Zirkzee was allowed to spend the season half of the season on loan with Parma in the Serie A.

He went on to make just four league appearances for I Crociati as they finished last in the Serie A and were relegated.

The Dutch international never managed to become a first-team regular for Bayern after being promoted to the first-team in 2019 so it comes as no surprise that the club may now be looking to cut ties with him.

Bayern have planned a comprehensive overhaul of their playing squad this season as they try to rebuild a team that won the Champions League in 2019/20. They will lose defenders David Alaba (Real Madrid) and Jerome Boateng on free transfers and have brought in Omar Richards (Reading) and Dayot Upamecano (RB Leipzig), with more transfers mooted.
