Tottenham Hotspur have begun talks with the former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte.
The former Chelsea manager is now the leading candidate to replace Jose Mourinho and it will be interesting to see if Spurs can agree on a deal with him in the coming days.
The report from Athletic claims that the London club are keen on appointing the former Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici as well.
Conte is one of the best managers in European football right now and he helped Inter Milan win the league after 11 years this past season.
He has won the Premier League with Chelsea as well and he knows English football well.
Tottenham need a manager who can come in and transform the side instantly. Some of their key players have been linked with a move away and the arrival of Conte could convince their stars to stay at the club beyond this summer.
England international Harry Kane has been linked with a move to Manchester City and the player is thought to be keen on joining a side capable of winning trophies. The 51-year-old Italian manager is a proven winner and he might be able to convince Kane to hold on for another season.
The arrival of Paratici as the director of football will also give the club a new direction. The 48-year-old has worked with Conte before and it will be interesting to see if they can lead the Londoners to glory in the coming years.
