West Ham closing in on 23-yr-old, they want £14m deal wrapped up before Euros – originally posted on Sportslens.com
West Ham United are thought to be closing in on the signing of the Spartak Moscow midfielder Alex Kral.
According to Daily Star, the Londoners want to complete the signing before the start of the European Championships and the fee could be around £14 million.
The Hammers are looking to add more options to their midfield department and the 23-year-old defensive midfielder could be a quality long term addition. The reported asking price seems quite reasonable as well and Kral should be able to justify the outlay in the coming seasons.
The player’s agent has been in talks with the Premier League club for quite some time and the Hammers are now looking to wrap up the transfer before the 14th of June.
SL View: Ideal alternative for Declan Rice
The London club recently signed Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek and it remains to be seen if the two players can convince their compatriot to join them at West Ham this summer.
David Moyes has had to field the likes of Manuel Lanzini in a deeper role during Declan Rice’s injury this past season and the arrival of Kral would give him specialist options during injuries and rotation.
A move to West Ham would be a massive step up in the 23-year-old midfielder’s career and he will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Coufal and Soucek and prove himself as a quality signing for the London club in future.
