Everton keen on attacker with 14 goal contributions this season, 24-yr-old will cost €15m – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Everton have been linked with a move for the Valencia attacker Goncalo Guedes earlier this summer and it seems that the Spanish outfit are willing to sell the 24 year old Portuguese international for a fee of just €15 million as per Calciomercato.
The 24-year-old attacker has seven goals and seven assists in all competitions for Valencia this season and he could prove to be a handy signing for Carlo Ancelotti side.
The Portuguese attacker can play as a wide forward as well as a central forward.
The reported asking price should be affordable for a club with Everton’s resources and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with a concrete offer in the coming weeks now.
SL View: Could prove to be a major bargain
The 24-year-old is still quite young and he has a lot of time to achieve his potential. A manager like Ancelotti could help him develop further and improve as a player.
The Portuguese international was rated quite highly before his move to Valencia.
He would add some much-needed depth to the Everton attack alongside Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The Toffees need to add more depth and quality to their side if they want to secure European qualification next season and picking up bargains like Guedes would be a smart decision for them.
The 24-year-old has not had the best time at Valencia so far and he is likely to be tempted to move to the Premier League if the Toffees come calling.
