Romano: Liverpool want 24-year-old Arsenal target who has dropped a major transfer hint – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma is reportedly wanted by several Premier League clubs this summer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in signing the 24-year-old.
Bissoouma has been one of the top performers for Brighton this season, making 36 appearances in the Premier League.
Signing a midfielder is one of the top priorities for the Gunners. Dani Ceballos has returned to Real Madrid, while the futures of Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka are in doubt.
Romano claims that the Gunners are interested in him, but he is not their only option. Arsenal are also exploring different kinds of players in his position.
Yves Bissouma is appreciated and he’s ‘one of the options’ in the Arsenal list as midfielder but NOT the first one. #AFC are also looking at different kind of players in this position.
Many clubs are interested in Bissouma – Liverpool too. The race is open. #AFC #LFC

Premier League rivals Liverpool are also interested in signing him, with the Reds seeing him as a potential option to replace Gini Wijnaldum who will leave the club following the expiry of his contract.
Bissouma’s Instagram story recently spiked the attention of Arsenal fans.
He shared a post from @wilyfit_8 – the midfielder’s personal trainer – of a man sat down in a bedroom with an Arsenal badge located on the floor next to him.
It doesn’t mean anything, but it got Arsenal fans excited on social media platforms.
Back in January, a close friend of the player told football.london that he would prefer a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners are also reportedly interested in signing Sander Berge from Sheffield United, who could leave the club this summer.
