Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez has suitors in the Italian League and the Premier League according to Corriere dello Sport.
The report claims that West Ham United and Leeds United are interested in signing the 25-year-old Uruguayan during the summer transfer window.
According to the report from Corriere dello Sport, the midfielder has a contract with the Italian club until the summer of 2024.
Cagliari will be able to demand a considerable fee for their midfield asset this summer and it remains to be seen whether the Hammers or the Whites can fend off the competition and secure his services.
SL View: Could be a great fit for Bielsa’s Leeds
Nandez has done an excellent job with the Italian club and he could prove to be a quality addition for the likes of West Ham and Leeds next season.
The hard-working midfielder will help out his teammates defensively and he has the energy to be an excellent pressing option for the likes of Marcelo Bielsa. Nandez would be an ideal fit for the way Bielsa likes to play at Leeds.
West Ham could use an energetic midfielder like him alongside Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek as well. Mark Noble is well past his peak and David Moyes needs to bring in a quality alternative. The Cagliari midfielder would be an ideal fit.
The 25-year-old can play multiple roles in the central midfield and in the wide areas. His defensive contribution and long-range passing ability could be an asset for the Hammers and Leeds next season.
