Liverpool have suffered yet another massive injury blow as they approach the business end of the Premier League campaign.

The 2020-21 season saw Liverpool having a nightmare time with injuries, with the Reds missing several key players, either for almost the entire campaign or for a significant part of the season.

The 2-1 victory against West Brom at the Hawthorns meant Liverpool are just a point behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

With the Blues facing Leicester in their next Premier League game, Liverpool will have a golden opportunity to get into the top-four should they win their remaining two games.

Jurgen Klopp revealed yesterday that Ozan Kabak has joined the long-list of centre-backs to be ruled out of action through injury.

The young Turkish defender, who joined the Reds on loan from Schalke, has done really well for Liverpool. However, he has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

He picked up a muscle injury in training and has missed the last three games.

Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Naby Keita are also out for the rest of the season.

Liverpool will also miss the services of Diogo Jota who scored during the victory at Old Trafford. The 24-year-old picked up a foot injury during the game against United, and Klopp has suggested that he is doubtful for the Euros.

The Reds can sign Kabak permanently by matching his £18 million buyout fee from Schalke this summer, but whether they will activate that clause remains to be seen.
