Predicted Celtic XI vs St Johnstone: Kennedy to make one change, 23-yr-old to start – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Celtic host St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership later today and the Hoops will be looking to pick up all three points at home.
They were beaten 4-1 by Rangers in their last outing and the fans will be desperate for a strong reaction here.
The Hoops have managed to beat St. Johnstone in ten of their last eleven meetings and they will be hoping to add to that streak here. Furthermore, Celtic have managed to score at least twice in eight of the last ten matches against today’s opposition in all competitions.
Meanwhile, St. Johnstone managed to draw at Parkhead earlier in the season and they will fancy their chances of a win here.
The game does not mean much to either side as they will not be able to finish higher than the positions they currently occupy in the table. It remains to be seen if the players can motivate themselves to perform at a high level regardless of that and grind out a result here.
Celtic will be without the services of Callum McGregor who was sent off in the Glasgow Derby.
Predicted Celtic starting line-up: Bain, Kenny, Welsh, Ajer, Taylor, Brown, Soro, Forrest, Turnbull, Elyounoussi, Edouard
John Kennedy is likely to make just one change to the side that was beaten by Rangers last time out. 23-year-old Ismaila Soro is likely to come into the starting line-up in place of the suspended McGregor.
