West Ham and Everton have made enquiries for £40m-rated Premier League ace – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in recent weeks and it appears that Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Everton have made inquiries for the 24-year-old as per the Express.
The Mali international has been outstanding for Brighton in the Premier League this season and it is no surprise that the top clubs are looking to snap him up.
Bissouma can operate centrally as well as in a deeper role. He will add power, presence and defensive cover in the midfield. Furthermore, his versatility could be very useful for his suitors.
West Ham could definitely use some depth in the central midfield and someone like Bissouma could be the ideal long term replacement for club legend Mark Noble.
The Hammers have struggled without Declan Rice at times this season and signing someone with Bissouma’s ability will give David Moyes more options to work with next season.
Similarly, Everton could use more options in their midfield as well. Players like Jean-Philippe Gbamin have been perennially injured since joining the club and Bissouma would be a superb addition.
It remains to be seen how Spurs accommodate him in their midfield with Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg already at their disposal.
Apparently, the player is valued at around £40 million and it will be interesting to see which of these suitors are willing to cough up that kind of money for his services in the summer.
The midfielder is Premier League-proven and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact next season.
