Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw against St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership last night.

New signing Scott Wright managed to score his first goal for Rangers yesterday but his goal was cancelled out by Liam Craig deep into injury time. The hosts were awarded a penalty in added time and Steven Gerrard will be disappointed with the two dropped points.

The 23-year-old forward was given a chance to impress against St. Johnstone and he managed to grab the opportunity with both hands. Wright signed for Rangers at the start of February for a fee of around £150,000 and he could prove to be a massive bargain for the Scottish outfit if he manages to perform at this level.

He started as a left-sided winger with the likes of Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten leading the line for the Ibrox giants.

The 23-year-old seems like an exciting talent and the Rangers fans will be delighted with what they have seen so far.

Wright will be hoping to establish himself as a regular starter for Rangers next season and he will certainly stand a good chance of doing so if he continues to perform at this level.

The versatile forward was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch last night and he will be hoping to build on this performance and finish the season strongly.

Some of the Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the 23-year-old’s performance last night and here is what they had to say.
